New Life of Sheepdog Surviving Abuse .ru
When Nova came to the shelter last October, the employees had no doubt - she was the victim of animal cruelty. It was written on her face, unfortunately, literally. For a puppy a little less than a year old, Nova weighed half the norm - only 12 kg. An open wound from a tight, self-made “muzzle” enveloped her face.

Whatever kept Nova’s face closed, it injured the dog for such a long time that scar tissue formed. Perhaps it was a wire, rope or elastic band. The only thing that was clear for sure was that Nova is now safe.
Despite her condition and injuries, the baby from the very beginning behaved just fine.
Just at that time, the local police station decided to add a fourth officer to his team. When the police arrived at the shelter to look at potential candidates, Nova was still recovering. However, the head of the shelter asked to pay special attention to the baby - she has a calm character and could become a wonderful dog for, for example, a search.

Lieutenant Stopper, who needed a partner, at first glance realized that Nova was his dog. While the chief officers decided whether it would be possible to train a one-year-old dog to perform the necessary tasks, Stopper spent a lot of time with New and got to know her better.
When the police station nevertheless decided that Nova was a really good choice, she immediately got down to work and became very attached to her new master and best friend. 4 months after Nova went to the shelter, she received confirmation that her training was over and officially became a police dog.

So Nova, who was once thrown out into the street, got a new life. And who knows how many good deeds she will do for her and how many people will save.
